Friend: Today, Donald Trump is holding a rally in D.C. to fire up his most die-hard supporters. Tomorrow, he’ll be sworn in for his second term. Will you chip in any amount you can toward my $20,000 midnight goal and then let me explain why I need your help?

Here’s the thing, friend: Donald Trump has made clear he’s going to fight for massive, deficit-busting tax cuts for billionaires and giant corporations while doing almost nothing to lower the cost of your groceries and health care. In fact, it’s likely that we’ll have to fight again to protect the Affordable Care Act and so much of the progress we’ve made to expand access and lower costs.

I can’t promise that we’ll be able to stop Trump every time, but we can show him that people in this country are fired up and ready to stand up for everything that matters to them, whether that’s our health care or our democracy.

Tomorrow, it’s go time – and if I’m going to have the resources I need for the fights ahead, I need you with me. So I’m personally asking: Will you chip in $5 before my midnight deadline to help me hold the incoming Trump administration accountable?
