A friend of mine recently encouraged me with this verse of scripture. She replaced my name with ‘us’ and wrote me a note that said “For God has not given Lucy a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and sound judgment.”
It seems like such a simple thing to do, applying scripture directly to our personal lives, but oftentimes we look at these verses from a distance. We don’t really understand that they are the living words of God that can transform our lives.
God has not given you, me, or any of His children a spirit of fear. He gives us power, love, and sound mind through the Holy Spirit -all we have to do is accept it and we can live in His power.
