Friend,
This Memorial Day is different.
Out of concern for the health and well-being of all Americans during a pandemic, parades, flag ceremonies, and beloved traditions have been put on hold this year -- but that doesn’t mean we can’t find ways to honor our brave fallen heroes with gratitude and respect.
Having served on active duty, I know we have the most amazing military in the world, and one reason for that is generations of heroes that served and made our military better. Today, we honor those who’ve given their lives in service to this country and remember their immeasurable courage and sacrifice. And that recognition doesn’t have to stem from public displays of patriotism -- it comes from the heart.
So even though we can’t observe this Memorial Day together in person, we can still pay tribute to our fallen servicemembers by keeping them in our thoughts. And to every active-duty servicemember who’s continuing their legacy, thank you for your service.
Best,
Ted
