That's exactly what's happening right now with House Republicans as they prepare to exercise power once Donald Trump is inaugurated.
Politico recently got its hands on a "menu" that Republicans are passing around of the cuts they're considering.
Everything from climate programs to Medicaid to essential social services could be cut. And Republicans are even discussing "reimagining" the Affordable Care Act.
The GOP has locked themselves into cutting trillions of dollars — all to cover their planned tax breaks for billionaires — and everyday Americans are going to pay the price if this agenda becomes reality.
The good news is that the House GOP has a very narrow majority of just three seats. Our goal is to put pressure on vulnerable Midwestern Republicans and demonstrate that if they support such extreme measures as rolling back healthcare, their political future is over.
If we stand strong, we have a chance of stopping the worst of the GOP agenda.
