Today we observe Memorial Day in tribute to the men and women who have given their lives in service to our country. Today we grieve, remember, honor, and celebrate their courage and sacrifice.



Memorial Day serves as a reminder of the bravery, dedication, and fearlessness of those who made the ultimate sacrifice to keep our nation safe and free.

I am proud to serve this country as a law enforcement official, and I am honored to work alongside so many brave men and women who have served in our armed forces.

Our service members exemplify the very best of America. In these difficult times, I hope we can all find strength and solace in the example set by our men and women in uniform.

Happy Memorial Day -- and may we always honor the sacrifices made by our fallen soldiers.
