Far-right extremists are pushing to gut Social Security and Medicare – putting the hard-earned benefits of over 70 million Americans at risk to benefit their billionaire donors.

No one should see their hard work erased. My dad dedicated over three decades to the military and police force to secure his Social Security and Medicare benefits. His sacrifice helped pave the way for me to get where I am today.

Now, the House GOP is threatening to make that dream even harder to reach for countless Americans with plans to cut $5 trillion from Medicare, Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, and food stamps — all to pay for a massive tax cut for the wealthy instead.

I’ve spent my career standing up for working families, and I’ve seen firsthand how essential these programs are. I won’t let far-right extremists take away the benefits our communities rely on just to line the pockets of ultrawealthy special interests.
