Team,

If you and I haven't met yet, my name is Josh Weil. I'm the Democrat and public school teacher running in the Special Election for Florida's 6th Congressional District - the bellwether first election of 2025.

Recently, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson was selected to remain Speaker of the House though it was anything but a smooth process. That afternoon, there was a very real possibility that rebels in the GOP would undermine Johnson's vote and cast him to the dustbin like they did his predecessor Kevin McCarthy.

Johnson's position as Speaker and for that matter the cohesion of the GOP coalition and majority in Congress are hanging on by a thread.

With the recent defection of Congresswoman Victoria Spratz from the House Republican Caucus and vacancies stemming from Trump's cabinet appointments, the Republican Majority in Congress may very well come down to just one vote.

The GOP's hold on power is like a rotting shack - if someone can kick in the door, the whole structure will come crashing in on itself. In running for this critical seat, I aim to be the demolition man.

A blue victory in this special election will destroy the GOP’s one vote majority and hamstring Trump's plans to pass the sinister Project 2025 agenda through Congress.

I have less than 3 months to build the team that will win this race for Democrats. Time is of the essence and I am writing to ask if you can chip in $10 to help me win this. Can I count on you to split a donation between my campaign and iVote Fund to support my fight? [[link removed]]

Thank you in advance for your support.

Josh Weil
Democrat for Florida's 6th

iVote was created in 2014 with one goal: secure voting rights for all Americans.

Rather than take on challenges in the court after unfair laws have passed, iVote plays defense on voter suppression efforts AND goes on offense to secure and expand access to voting.

Going on offense is critical. We have the chance to elect Secretaries of State that will protect our elections for years to come. But Republicans are already suppressing and blocking certain citizens from exercising their fundamental right to vote.

We need a massive coalition to register new voters and protect our right to vote in this election and beyond.

We know you get a lot of emails, but it's only because this fight is so important. We need you to stick with us long term. But if you must go, you can unsubscribe.
