Mark Zuckerberg has just handed Meta to the far right. Meta will now
eliminate fact-checking and allow political misinformation to run rampant
on its platforms.

That’s right – the same people trying to ban books, roll back LGBTQ+
rights, and control women’s bodies now have even more influence over how
information flows in our democracy.

For years now, Trump and the far right have accused Meta, the
trillion-dollar company that runs Facebook and Instagram of
unconstitutional censorship, due to their efforts to curb hate speech and
disinformation on their platforms. And now, it seems that Zuckerberg has
folded – just days before Trump’s inauguration.

We can do better. Together, we can elect young, progressive leaders who
are in touch, mobilize to support policies that move us forward, and
ensure that these leaders have the resources they need to take on the
establishment.
