This week’s announcement of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas offers a
glimmer of hope to more than two million Palestinians who have endured
constant bombardment, acute hunger, forced displacement, and lack of basic
supplies for the past 15 months.

This agreement could open a critical window of opportunity for Mercy Corps
and our partners to ramp up the delivery of desperately needed relief to
families across Gaza. But the road ahead to a lasting peace, recovery, and
rebuilding will be long and difficult. We must remain committed to
supporting civilians affected by this conflict for the long haul.

One of the best ways to help us deliver sustained relief — food and water,
medical and hygiene supplies, psychological support, and new economic
opportunities — is by making a consistent, automatic monthly donation as a
Mercy Corps Partner In Possibility. For a limited time, your first monthly

Earlier today, a ceasefire and hostage release agreement was announced
between Israel and Hamas, which is the first step to allowing humanitarian
organizations to scale up the delivery of desperately needed supplies to
civilians in Gaza.

Together, Mercy Corps and supporters have been advocating for a ceasefire
for more than a year, so we welcome this news and maintain hope that this
ceasefire agreement will hold in the weeks and months ahead.

Mercy Corps teams and partners are continuing to transport lifesaving
relief — including food, water, hygiene kits, and shelter supplies — into
the region. With more than 1.9 million people forced from their homes and
suffering through freezing winter nights in makeshift shelters.
We
hope this ceasefire agreement will open a critical window for aid
delivery, and we’re calling on you to help. [ [link removed] ]Please rush your gift to
help families in crisis in Gaza and 40+ countries around the globe.
