We wanted to make sure you saw this, team: Yesterday, the Fifth Circuit Court ruled against DACA — but is still allowing renewals to be processed.
DACA’s future is still in limbo, the only thing we know for certain is we’ll need to fight like hell to keep DACA protections in place. These attacks on DACA continue to be led by anti-immigrant courts and far-right elected officials hell-bent on destabilizing our communities and keeping us from thriving.
DACA was never more than a temporary solution, though. Now with only days before Trump is set to take office, promising the largest deportation effort in this county’s history, this only strengthens the urgency around our demands for permanent protections. More than ever before, now we need Congress to step up and protect immigrants.
Donate now to help UWDA prepare for the DACA fight ahead and win permanent protections for DACA recipients and all 11 million undocumented people.

Let’s be clear: DACA being shut down would be catastrophic. Hundreds of thousands could lose their jobs and protections against deportation.
But with millions of others ineligible to even apply for DACA, our fight has always been for more expansive permanent protections.
This latest attack on DACA should serve as a reminder of the urgency around our demands for a pathway to citizenship: we must be ready to take a bold, public stance to unapologetically declare immigrants are here to stay!
Years of Congressional inaction and broken promises have led to this moment. Congress cannot wait any longer and must act NOW to permanently protect our immigrant communities and families facing the threat of deportation.
This is a critical moment for our movement, and impacted communities will be counting on UWDA to provide guidance, advocate for our demands, and help lead the way to secure permanent protections — but we can’t do this without you.

We know that DACA is right and legal. But even more importantly, we know that our love for our community and for each other is unbreakable. We’ll keep fighting for each other and see each other through this.
I am here to stay. We at United We Dream Action are here to stay. And immigrants everywhere across America are here to stay.
Thank you for standing with us,
Carolina, United We Dream Action
