Friend,

For many of us, celebrating Memorial Day this year just doesn't feel the same without our customary barbecues, parades, and social gatherings. But to be honest, I can think of no better reminder to ourselves that Memorial Day is not about barbecues and the start of summer. It's a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service and gave what President Lincoln called “the last full measure of devotion.”

This year we have lost many who were serving their community and neighbors, fighting a different kind of war. I hope you'll keep the memory of those heroes - and their families - in your thoughts as you celebrate Memorial Day this weekend. Please honor their sacrifice by being smart about social distancing and wearing your face coverings.

I hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy during this trying time. If there's anything I can do to help you, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Yours,
