Watch Gerson and Tumulty

While there are nearly two dozen Democrats competing for the presidential nomination, the party's strategy to win back the U.S. Senate is facing serious trouble. In fact, Democrats say that some of the candidates who have the best chance of winning Senate seats are instead running for the White House.

Meanwhile, Israel this week denied entry to two Democratic embers of Congress, Rep. Rashida Tlaib and Rep. Ilhan Omar, after President Donald Trump urged the government to do so. Israel later said Tlaib could make her trip -- on certain conditions -- but she rejected the offer.

It was a busy week in politics. Washington Post columnists Michael Gerson and Karen Tumulty are on hand to break it all down.
