John,
Today, we join together to reflect on the courage of our servicemembers, and the sacrifices that they and their families make each day to protect us.
We must honor those brave men and women who have given their lives in service to our nation. But we need to do more than just commemorate -- we must recommit ourselves to supporting the veterans who served alongside them, and the loved ones they've left behind.
As a 20-year Navy veteran, I'm committed to working in Congress to ensure that our servicemembers and their families receive the benefits they have earned, and I fought to repeal an unjust tax hike on Gold Star families.
There's so much more to work to be done. For the sake of all those who have served and made the ultimate sacrifice, we must continue to work across party lines to do what's right for our veterans and their families.
I will not stop fighting for you,
Elaine Luria
