Leading up to November, his voter suppression and election subversion war machine necessarily consumed a disproportionate share of this weekly newsletter. After the election, the speed by which major institutions bowed down to him required me to keep the focus on his words and deeds.
With his inauguration only days away, we will soon no doubt once again be focused on his authoritarian impulses and their dire consequences for our country. But today provides a much-needed respite from Trump and his cronies.
