Republicans love to go on about family values but then defund programs like Head Start that provide crucial early education and support to children from low-income families, defund the Department of Education, and so much more.

To me, family values mean, first and foremost, recognizing that families come in all shapes and sizes. And no matter what they look like, every family deserves to thrive.

That’s why, as I set out on another term in Congress, I’m committed to protecting hardworking families and fighting for:

🏡 Housing Affordability and Lowering Costs: Everyone deserves a safe and stable place to live. It’s time we invest in affordable housing and support policies that help families thrive.

🌎 Clean Environment and Tackling Climate Change: Here in West Michigan, I’m committed to curbing climate change and protecting our Great Lakes while creating jobs.

🩺 Lowering Costs of Healthcare: Healthcare is a right, not a privilege. We need to bring down the cost of prescription drugs and make sure every family has access to the care they need.

🧡 Common-Sense Gun Safety Reform: Every family deserves to feel safe in their community, free from the threat of gun violence. We must pass common-sense gun safety laws to protect our children and our neighborhoods.

When Trump takes office in a few days, I will be spending every spare minute battling any challenges to our values, democracy, and the rule of law.
