Yesterday, I spoke on the House floor to recognize the residents of Los Angeles and the surrounding areas who have been impacted by these disastrous wildfires.

I have deep gratitude for first responders who are working tirelessly to combat the fires, as well as volunteers and community members who have stepped up to help.

If you’re safe from the fires and would like to lend a hand, here are a few organizations you can support:

1. American Red Cross - Wildfire Relief: This organization is currently supporting recovery efforts for people impacted by the California Wildfires.
2. California Fire Foundation: This organization supports families of firefighters who have been killed or injured on duty.
3. Los Angeles Regional Food Bank: This organization is providing food assistance to those impacted by the California wildfires.
4. YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles: The YMCA supports victims of the fires with free childcare for children of first responders and displaced families, as well as showers, Wi-Fi, and other essential services.
