Over the past few weeks, President Biden and the Democrats have had many healthcare wins—signifying which administration actually cares about making Americans healthy.

Through the Inflation Reduction Act, President Biden has lowered the costs of drug prices—allowing Medicare to negotiate and lower the prices of high-price medications, and capping the cost of insulin at $35. 

The Democratic Party is dedicated to lowering healthcare costs and making affordable healthcare more accessible to all Americans. As we embark on this new Congress and new Presidential term, I need all the support I can get. President Biden and Congressional Democrats also reported record enrollment in Affordable Care Act insurance plans as well as landmark healthcare expansion for vulnerable communities.

On top of increased access to affordable healthcare, the Democrats have made huge progress in protecting abortion access after the GOP overturned Roe v. Wade and attacked bodily autonomy. We also passed historic gun safety legislation—declaring gun violence a public health crisis and cracking down on background checks for gun owners.

While Donald Trump and RFK Jr. promise to Make America Healthy Again, their “concepts of a plan” regarding healthcare are still nonexistent.
