Oklahoma,

This is your last Friday under President Biden. On Monday, January 20, President-elect Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States of America. I could not be more excited to work with him to usher in peace, prosperity, and security at home and abroad. Additionally, please join me in prayer for the victims of the wildfires out in California.

This week, the Senate kicked off confirmation hearings for President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet nominees. Our goal is to get these individuals confirmed as quickly as possible so we can govern on day one of President Trump's administration. However, my Democrat Senate colleagues are attempting to stand in the way of progress. Thankfully, Trump's nominees have been doing the right thing from the start, keeping noes off the board. I've been clear from the beginning, I'm a YES on all the nominees. We have to hit the ground running. From Pete Hegseth to Scott Beset, the president-elect has built a team that will excel in Making America Great Again.

We're three days away and we're already putting wins up on the board. Israeli hostages are being reunited with their families, people with different political leanings are coming to the table, and we're passing legislation to be signed by President Trump on day one. This is of course thanks to the return of real leadership. While our current president has been absent since President Trump was in office, Trump has been hard at work putting forth a plan to put our nation on the right track. I cannot wait to see where he'll take us. I hear Greenland is nice this time of year.

This is probably the second best Friday of the year. That's because next Friday will be under a new administration. I'm so excited to talk about all the victories we'll have next week. The Democrats are continuing to fight, however they're doing so with futility. There's nothing they can do to stop the inevitable. I'm overjoyed for what's to come.

Today, I had the honor and privilege of meeting with members of the Oklahoma National Guard who are in town supporting President Donald Trump’s inauguration this week. We're forever indebted to their services and the sacrifices they have made. Thank you for all that you do to keep us safe.

Additionally, I sat down with West Point cadets in my office this morning. Funny enough, two of the cadets were from Oklahoma. James and William, it was a pleasure meeting you and your fellow cadets. I am so thankful for the sacrifice, hard work, and passion you have dedicated to get you to this point. I look forward to seeing all that you will accomplish.

Following my line of questioning in Pete Hegseth's confirmation hearing, U.S. Tom Cotton (R-AR) and I joined Fox News's Laura Ingraham on The Ingraham Angle to unpack the hypocrisy of the left that we saw on the stand. It's pretty clear which party is serious when one side is asking about ways of strengthening our military, combatting Chinese and Russian aggression, and implementing peace through strength policies while the other side is focused on a smear campaign instigated by false, anonymous sources. Clearly it's why that side lost in November.

As I mentioned earlier, my Senate Democrat colleagues really enjoyed grandstanding at the nomination hearings this week. We saw this more so than anywhere else in Pete Hegseth's hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC). The Democrats are focused on his past rather than his future. Sitting in their houses of glass, they hurled hypocritical insults and accusations. I could not let it stand. So I took the fight to them.
