Protecting Women, One Bill At A Time 📜
<[link removed]>
Another win for women this week.
First, the House passed the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act
<[link removed]>
, and yesterday, we followed up by passing thePreventing Violence Against Women
by Illegal Aliens Act
<[link removed]>—a
good bill introduced by my colleague, Nancy Mace.
This legislation makes sure that illegal aliens convicted of heinous crimes
like child abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence aredeported
<[link removed]>
and kept out for good.
The Biden administration’s reckless open-border fiasco has allowed a whole
host ofdangerous illegal aliens
<[link removed]>
to flood into our communities. While I’m confident President Trump will shore
up this gaping hole in our national security very soon, we can’t wait for the
day of reckoning; we need to address the chaos that’s on our doorstepright now.
And while you and I know this type of bill is plain common sense, the regular
cast of characters on the Leftvoted against it
<[link removed]>
.You’re telling me they can’t get on board with deporting illegal aliens who
rape and abuse women and children? I’m left scratching my head every dadgum
time this happens, folks.
It really boils down to a lack of accountability. You can’t clean up a mess
you won’t even admit to making, and Democrats are unwilling to look in the
mirror and admit the colossal problem they created. They’re in denial, and
because of that, we’ve got14 million people
<[link removed]>
we know nothing about wandering this country.
Issues like this one are always a good reminder of why I came to Washington in
the first place. This is so much bigger than everyday politics—it’s life or
death.
The American people deserve fighters who won’t let up until the rest of the
world knows we’re rolling up the welcome mat, and criminals won’t find refuge
here.
East Tennessee Hurricane Recovery 🧡
<[link removed]>
East Tennessee families who lost everything in Hurricane Helene are finally
starting to move into FEMA-providedtemporary housing
<[link removed]>
. If I had it my way, this would have happened a long time ago—but better late
than never. These folks will finally have some comfort and stability as they
work to rebuild their homes and lives in Carter, Cocke, Greene, Johnson,
Unicoi, and Washington counties.
This temporary housing is a critical step in helping our communities recover,
and I look forward to doing everything I can to continue fighting for East
Tennessee families. Let’s keep supporting these folks as they rebuild from this
disaster.
