Common Sense: Women Should Compete Against Women

Honoring a Local Hero

I was proud to speak on the House floor to honor Zuza of the Yakima County Sheriff's Office after her passing last month.

In her 7-year career with the sheriff’s department, Zuza had an incredible record of 138 captures, including dangerous criminals and murder suspects. Yakima County is safer because of Zuza, and I thank Deputy Nick Ward for his commitment to her handling and to the safety of our communities.

By updating BPA’s compensation structure to match industry standards, we can ensure the agency is well-positioned to deliver the reliability ratepayers deserve while strengthening our region's energy future.

I am proud to rejoin these three critical subcommittees that have a direct impact on the issues we face in Central Washington. From supporting our farmers and ranchers, to protecting the Lower Snake River dams and ensuring the continued cleanup of the Hanford site, I will continue to work diligently on behalf of Central Washington.
