John —
President Trump took the MAGA
circus to Manchester, New Hampshire yesterday and broke out the
greatest hits. From insulting protesters, to ‘‘Lock her up” chants, to
nonsensical tirades, yesterday’s rally was everything you’d expect
from the President’s reelection campaign. But there was one comment Trump
made that stuck with us.
Before heading to the event,
Trump started laying the groundwork to invalidate next year’s
election by claiming that “thousands and thousands of people
came in from locations unknown” to vote in New Hampshire in 2016. This
might seem like Trump’s usual “blame everyone but himself” style,
but we think he’s up to
something more sinister. Here’s why:
We’re making major headway in New
Hampshire, we know this because Trump is already
campaigning there. Something that’s almost unheard of for an
incumbent president this early in the cycle. We’re building a campaign
there that’s going to cut through Trump’s bluster and reach voters
where they are. But his comments yesterday demonstrate that if
we win that primary, he’s going to do everything in his power to
invalidate the results, halting our momentum and casting doubt on our democratic
process.
President Trump is using the two-bit dictator playbook of “winning”
elections. And his attacks on our election systems are only going to
get worse as the primary gets closer. So if we want to build a
movement that cuts through Trump’s megalomania, wins New Hampshire,
and reclaims the Republican party, we’re going to need your help. Can
you rush a $20.20 donation right now to help us build the organization
we need to defend our democratic process?
