Hello from the State Capitol,
On Tuesday January 14, I was one of 67 republicans to be sworn into office on what was a historical first day of session. As Vice Chair of the Veterans and Military Affairs Division Committee and Speaker Pro Tempore, I am excited to get to work and honored to represent District 22A.
While the Democrats have chosen not to show up for legislative sessions and committee meetings, abandoning their responsibilities to the people of Minnesota, my-self and the other House Republicans remain dedicated to the work at hand. We are here every day, advancing policies that prioritize the needs of Minnesotans and ensuring that their voices are represented in the decision-making process. Unfortunately, instead of working with us to ensure the best outcomes for Minnesota families, the Democrats have made it clear that they’re unwilling to cooperate with the newly formed Republican majority. They’ve decided to refuse to participate in the legislative process, despite still collecting their paychecks.
I was at the Capitol on January 14th for the swearing-in ceremonies and am proud to represent my constituents. You can count on me to show up and do the work this legislative session and will always be available to you
