New data on the characteristics of employer businesses are now available from our 2023 Annual Business Survey [ [link removed] ].

Estimates show there were approximately 5.9 million U.S. employer firms in 2022, of which 22.6% were minority-owned, 4.7% were veteran-owned, and 22.3% were women-owned.
