Barry Loudermilk U.S. Congressman, Georgia's Eleventh District | Presiding Over the U.S. House of Representatives | This week, I had the distinct privilege of presiding over the House floor as Speaker Pro Tempore during the debate on H.R. 28, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. This legislation is meant to strengthen Title IX protections by prohibiting schools and institutions that receive federal funding from allowing biological men to compete in athletic programs that are designated for women and girls. This unique experience reinforces my gratitude to serve on behalf of Georgia's 11th Congressional District! | Our Votes This Week - Critical Legislation to Protect Female Sports, Strengthen the U.S.-Taiwan Economic Alliance, and Safeguard our Communities | During this week's House session, I voted for legislation to protect female sports, strengthen the U.S.-Taiwan economic alliance, and safeguard our communities from criminal illegal aliens committing heinous sex and domestic violence offenses. The top bills are as follows: - H.R. 28 – Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act – Rep. Greg Steube (FL-17)

- Strengthens accountability by unlocking expedited disciplinary processes for VA employees, ensuring that decisions backed by substantial evidence are upheld on appeal, removing the need for a performance improvement plan before disciplinary action, and aligning accountability processes for poor-performing managers with that of senior executives.
- H.R. 21 – Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act
- Ensures that infants born alive after an attempted abortion receive the same protection of law and degree of care as any newborn, and imposes strong criminal penalties for failure to provide such care.
- This legislation was included in the 119th Congress' Rules Package.
- H.R. 271 – Defund Planned Parenthood Act
- Prohibits Planned Parenthood from accessing any federal mandatory or discretionary funds.
