This truth has been at the center of Equality Federation’s work for nearly 3 decades. While 2025 has just begun, we’re already facing a stark reminder of why this matters.
Just this week, the U.S. House passed a bill that would ban transgender girls and women from playing on sports teams that align with their gender identity. Much of the spotlight has been on Congress, but this same fight has been playing out in state legislatures for years.
With the Senate taking up this anti-trans bill, the need for action is urgent. Federal attacks embolden state lawmakers to push similar measures, threatening the rights of LGBTQ+ people, especially trans youth, in every place we call home.
We won’t let this happen . State organizations need resources to organize, educate, and resist. This is where you come in. Your voice and your support can help us push back against these attacks and keep building power for the long haul. Here are actions to take now:
