But don't despair. This is a chance for every artist and poet, every philosopher and culture jammer, every sensible and compassionate human for whom this kind of toadying around is an insult to the soul to let our fury flow free… and irrigate dreams of a better tomorrow.

So here's how we set the tone for the next four years:

On Trump's Inauguration Day next Monday, wherever you are, whatever you're doing, raise your middle finger in a global gesture of defiance.

And keep on raising it every Friday thereafter.
