We've talked a lot about real life heroes over the last several weeks, but our country has also seen great divide during this difficult time.

Today, as we remember, with gratitude and respect, those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country and our democracy, it is my hope that in their honor we find our way again. We must stand united.

Let us recommit ourselves to living a life that honors the sacrifices of the fallen.

Let us remember their courage, their unwavering love of country.

Let their memory guide us.

To the families of the fallen, we surround you with love. We stand with you now and always.

We will never forget.
