Dear Friend,

Tomorrow, the Detroit Lions will kick off their first game in the 2025 NFL Playoffs, and to celebrate, I am proclaiming Saturday, January 18th, 2025,* Honolulu Blue Day [ [link removed] ]* in Michigan. I encourage every Michigander to proudly wear Honolulu Blue tomorrow to support our mighty Lions, making sure the world knows we were built for this moment.

The energy and excitement surrounding the Lions has been nothing short of electric. I am proud to join Michiganders from every corner of our state to cheer on a record-breaking team that has made history as the first-ever Lions squad to enter the playoffs as the #1 seed. Their unbreakable GRIT lies at the heart of the Michigan spirit, fueling us to dig deeper, push harder, rise above any challenge, and outplay any opponent, no matter their size or strength. Coach Campbell has taught us that true leadership means staying focused, trusting the power of teamwork, never backing down from a fight, and, if necessary, biting a few kneecaps along the way.

Michigan, let’s unite as One Pride to celebrate our team and make sure our roar is louder than ever as the Lions embark on their postseason march to the Super Bowl.

We were built for this! Go Lions!

Sincerely,
