In 2024, Republicans narrowly held on to their House majority, and the reason why is crystal clear: Gerrymandering.

Here in North Carolina, Republicans have rigged the map to serve their own selfish agenda, making competitive districts into safe Republican seats and silencing the voices of voters. This gerrymandering isn’t only happening in North Carolina — it’s a national issue.

A recent Brennan Center report found that, while Democrats won over 46% of the congressional vote, they won only 29% of the seats. This is a direct result of partisan gerrymandering, and it’s clear this system isn’t working.
