I am beyond honored to serve as your state representative during the 94th legislative session. In the 2025-2026 biennium, I will be proudly serving as the DFL Vice Chair of the Legacy Finance Committee and a member of the Housing Finance and Policy Committee and Labor and Workforce Development Committee.
I'm committed to serving our community and state. As Vice Chair of the Legacy Finance Committee, I'll protect Minnesota's natural and cultural resources. On the Housing Finance and Policy Committee, I'll address our urgent housing crisis, advocating for affordable housing investments and tenant protections. On the Labor and Workforce Development Committee, I'll champion stronger worker opportunities and fair conditions. Minnesota's severe housing shortage leaves many vulnerable to homelessness, making stable housing a moral imperative. I'll fight for solutions that ensure every Minnesotan has a safe home and a foundation for success.
2024 House Accomplishments
In the 2024 session DFLers, worked fiercely and efficiently to pass a slate of bills in areas that have been underfunded and underrepresented. It was an honor to pass key legislation impacting housing, legacy, and labor, which will significantly improve the lives of all Minnesotans. Here is a reminder of some of those bills:

Democrats are united in our will to fight Republican efforts to kick Representative Brad Tabke out of the Minnesota House. We cannot allow Republicans to engage in this unprecedented abuse of power and will use every tool at our disposal to block it. I will continue working for our community in St. Paul and across the state, just as I do throughout session and the interim to ensure our district’s voices are heard and represented.
Our House DFL Legacy team met earlier this week to discuss priorities that will support our working class and ensuring Minnesota remains the best state to raise a family, build a career, and enjoy a high quality of life.
Legislative Work on Housing
Last month, I held a town hall at the Frogtown Community Center with a few colleagues to share more information regarding the First-Generation Homebuyers Community Down Payment Assistance Fund. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who attended our housing town hall. Your presence and willingness to share your experiences, concerns, and needs were invaluable.
I deeply appreciate you taking the time to engage in this important conversation. As your state representative, I am committed to doing everything in my power to advocate for increased funding and diverse solutions that address the wide range of housing needs we discussed. Your feedback is essential as we work together to build a stronger, more equitable housing system for our community.
Earlier this week, I toured the Nine at Lexington Station with Representative María Isa Pérez-Vega, Ramsey County Commissioner Rena Moran, and City Council Member Anika Bowie. As a State Representative and a member of the Minnesota Housing Committee, I am deeply committed to addressing the housing challenges facing our state. Minnesota is currently experiencing a severe housing shortage, with rising costs, limited supply, and increasing evictions disproportionately affecting low-income families, seniors, and individuals experiencing homelessness.
