Friends, today is Memorial Day. Usually a day of parades, crowded beaches and community picnics, this holiday looks a lot different this year.
But even as the way we observe this holiday temporarily adjusts, I believe we can all take heart in the fundamental meaning of the day: remembering our fallen heroes.
Let’s all take a moment to appreciate the sacrifice of so many brave men and women in our military who gave their lives to defend our democracy and our values. And, let’s take a moment to honor our Gold Star Families and the legacy they represent.
If you know any families whose loved ones have made this ultimate sacrifice, please reach out and let them know you’re thinking of them. Above all else, we’re all Americans, and we’re in this together.
