Greetings,

 

The Minnesota House began the 2025 legislative session at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday. Republican members took the oath of office and organized. Citing pending litigation, House Democrats chose not to attend.

 

As a chair of the Minnesota House Commerce Committee, I began meeting with Governor Walz’s staff this week to discuss the administration’s budget requests as well as funding for other agencies that fall under the jurisdiction of our committee.

 

We are also working on bill introductions and exploring the repeal of some of the onerous laws that have been approved over the past few years.

 

Now that we are back in session, I will be keeping you updated on what is happening in the Minnesota House with periodic updates like these, so please stay tuned.
