Today, Americans across the country will honor the brave service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice to secure our liberty and defend our freedom.

These sacrifices have allowed us to live in a free and just society. For many of us, today is a reminder of friends, family, or fellow service members who gave their lives to protect our freedom.

Our nation owes a great debt to our fallen heroes, one that we can never fully repay. However, we can honor their sacrifice, and we must.

We must honor them by holding their memories close to our hearts and by supporting their families as if they were our own. We can also honor them by continuing to advocate for our shared American values both here and around the world.

I hope that you will take a moment today to think about the Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
