Dear Friend,

In three days, the second Trump administration will come into power. Their plans include catastrophic increases in fossil fuel production, stripping regulations critical for public health, and greenlighting industry activities that would devastate imperiled species.

Earthjustice is prepared to sue as many times as necessary to fight back.

In every case, we represent our clients free of charge because justice should not have a price tag.

But we can do that only because of your generosity.

We just announced a $1:$1 inauguration week match to help us maximize our response to incoming Trump administration policies. Please donate today to double your impact to protect the planet.$1:$1 MATCH: DONATE TODAY: [link removed]

We know we can win against President Trump and his allies. During the first Trump administration, we filed over 200 legal cases and won 85% of the decisions. Trump may be more prepared this time, but so are we.

For the last 14 presidential administrations, we’ve used our legal and policy expertise to build better, lasting environmental protections and defend those protections in court.

And thanks to your support, we’ve grown into an organization that staffs over 200 environmental attorneys — four times as many as any other environmental nonprofit.

Here are our four top priorities heading into Trump’s second term:

Protecting families and communities from deadly pollution
Preserving precious ecosystems and biodiversity
Preventing a new oil and gas rush
Protecting historic investments in the new clean economy

Here’s a look at our track record on just one of those priorities, preserving ecosystems and biodiversity:

The first Trump administration tried to shrink Bears Ears National Monument in Utah to mine sacred Indigenous lands — and we fought back, litigating alongside five Native American Tribes.

In the Western plains, our work protected more than a million acres of sage grouse habitat on public lands the Trump administration tried to open to oil and gas drilling.

In the Yellowstone region, we forced the Trump administration to restore Endangered Species Act protections for the grizzly bear, which stopped a planned trophy hunt of grizzlies only days before it was scheduled to begin.

We have won these kinds of high-stake battles before to protect our ecosystems and the biodiversity they sustain, and we are prepared to do it again. But we need the support of all our donors and activists to do so.

If you care about fighting for justice and a livable future, please donate today and your gift will be matched $1:$1 to double your impact.$1:$1 MATCH: DONATE TODAY: [link removed]

Thank you for your partnership.

Sincerely,
Drew Caputo,
Vice President of Litigation for Lands, Wildlife, and Oceans
