Since the 2024 election, ILCM has received an influx of people signing up to volunteer with our organization. We deeply appreciate our volunteers and thank you for your generosity! While we currently don’t have additional immediate volunteer needs, we want to connect you with other organizations and resources aligned with our values. The following groups provide critical support to those in need. Here are opportunities to consider for volunteering or donating:
Join Unidos MN for their February 6th Raid Response Training
Unidos MN is a grassroots organization that builds power with Minnesota's working families to advance social, racial and economic justice for all.

Conversations with Friends
Volunteers provide friendship and support to detained immigrants through visitation programs and pen-pal exchanges, helping reduce isolation.
Legal Advocacy and Human Rights
Advocates for Human Rights Court Observation Project
Volunteers monitor and observe immigration court proceedings, helping ensure accountability and fairness in the judicial process.
National Lawyers Guild - Minnesota Chapter
Engage in meaningful advocacy, including legal observing, supporting grassroots movements, and promoting legal rights.
Bail Reform and Community Support
Minnesota Freedom Fund
Supports individuals unable to afford bail and immigration bond, working to address the injustices of the cash bail system. Volunteers and donors can help advance equity in the legal system and provide critical community support.
Community Support and Conflict Resolution
REP Hotline
A Minneapolis-based resource for conflict resolution and resource navigation without involving police interactions. This initiative promotes community-based solutions for safety and support
General Resources
Mental Health and Crisis Support
Mental Health Minnesotaprovides information and referrals for emotional support and other mental health concerns. They are available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 1-800-862-1799 or online chat. Minnesota Peer Support Connection Warmline is another mental health resource. Call or text 1-844-739-6369 (5 p.m. to 9 a.m.).

Offers opportunities to assist in providing support to individuals in crisis through volunteering or donations.
LGBTQIA+ Support and Crisis Resources
SAGE’s Hear Me Program
Offers volunteer opportunities to connect with and support LGBTQ+ older adults through phone calls and friendship-building.
The Trevor Project
Dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ youth, they provide training for crisis intervention and volunteer opportunities to make a difference.
ILCM will be closed on Monday, January 20th in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will reopen Tuesday, January 21st.
