Administration Appointments

TOPEKA *– Governor Laura Kelly announced on Friday seven appointments to the following boards and commissions.

*_State Board of Agriculture
_**Purpose: *To review and make recommendations on department legislative initiatives and proposed rules and regulations.


* Scott Thellman, Lawrence (reappointment)
* Scott Strickland, Westwood (reappointment)
* Donna Parson-McClish, Wichita (reappointment)
* Chad Epler, Columbus

*_Kansas Court of Appeals Nominating Commission
_**Purpose: *To vet judicial nominees for Court of Appeals vacancies.


* Matt Birch, Mission Hills

*_Johnson County Education Research Triangle Authority
_**Purpose: *To review funds for building construction, academic and research program development and growth, faculty and staff recruitment and retention, and operations and maintenance in support of both undergraduate and graduate programs.


* Representative Brandon Woodard, Lenexa (reappointment)

*_Information Technology Executive Council
_**Purpose: *To provide direction and coordination for the application of the state’s information technology resources, designate the ownership of information resource processes, and serve as the lead agency for the implementation of new technologies and networks shared by multiple agencies in different branches of state government.
