Today is an important day in our nation's history.

I am proud to have served my country in the Navy for the last ten years, and I am a proud member of the reserves now. Members of the armed forces risk their lives every day to protect Americans and the country we love. Memorial day is our day to celebrate and remember those heroes who sacrificed their lives during their service.

As we spend this day to honoring and remembering those who fought and died, we continue their legacy by fighting for the values our country was founded on to be represented in our government.

This is why I'm running for office and why I believe we need more veterans to become lawmakers in this country. If you believe this too, contribute to your local veteran candidates who are working to serve their country again, in a different way.

Thank you for spending your time today honoring those who were lost while fighing for the freedom to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all Americans.

To all veterans and current servicemen and servicewomen, thank you for your service.

To our fallen warriors and their families, thank you for your sacrifice.
