We all knew that Trump’s Cabinet picks would be unqualified at best and dangers to our democracy and national security at worst. Kash Patel, Trump’s nominee for FBI Director, is unfortunately both of these things. 

No matter what Trump might have you believe, Patel’s confirmation is not inevitable. It’s up to us to push back today. Send an email to your senators urging them to vote no on Kash Patel.

How is Kash Patel unfit to be FBI Director? Let’s count the ways:

• Patel has openly stated he'd use the FBI to target Trump's perceived enemies—including members of Congress, journalists, and law enforcement officials—instead of focusing on protecting Americans and upholding the rule of law.
• In 2020, he endangered lives and nearly derailed a high-stakes mission to rescue a 27-year-old American Navy SEAL held captive in Nigeria by falsely claiming to have secured approval from the Nigerian government.
• Patel has absolutely no senior law enforcement experience and has never held a Senate-confirmed position. Multiple Trump administration officials who worked closest with Patel say he is “profoundly unqualified” to lead the FBI. 

Patel's record proves he is unfit to lead the FBI, one of America's most critical law enforcement agencies. Even those staunchly in Camp Trump think Patel isn’t up for the job!

The bottom line: Someone this obviously dangerous and inexperienced shouldn’t be confirmed. Tell your senators to reject his nomination for the office of FBI Director.
