Former Wells Fargo Executives Fined For Role In Fraudulent Bank Accounts

The fines are related to sales misconduct in the mid-2010s. In 2016, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau fined Wells Fargo for illegally creating millions of fraudulent bank accounts for clients without their consent or knowledge.
