John,
France's biggest marine park is shutting down! And now orcas Wikie and Keijo are in serious danger as they could be shipped to yet another marine park -- the infamously bad Loro Parque in Spain. Four orcas have died there since 2021, the last one just a couple months ago.
The French Minister of Ecological Transition, Agnès Pannier-Runacher, opposes the plan to send them to another park -- and the Whale Sanctuary in Nova Scotia is ready to welcome these beautiful marine giants for their well-deserved retirement.
This is where the Ekō community can support Wikie and Keijo in living a life of freedom and safety. As a global community we can create worldwide attention on the fate of these orcas and pressure officials to make the right decision.

What’s really frustrating is that France’s marine park is going against the law designed to end the mistreatment of animals.
The law specifically calls for an end to orca shows and a ban on breeding. And yet, Marineland is trying to send Wikie and Keijo to a park where they’ll likely be separated and used for breeding – the exact thing the law is supposed to stop!
A report just released from the French government couldn’t be clearer: “The guarantee of [the orcas’] welfare must be a cardinal criterion in the choice of destination." Wikie and Keijo have already suffered enough, especially after the loss of two family members last year. Keeping them together and sending them to a sanctuary is the only solution that puts their welfare first.
Sign the petition now to help give Wikie and Keijo the freedom they deserve!
The Whale Sanctuary Project in Canada has been recommended by experts as “the most credible innovative solution” for their future. This is our chance to actually make that happen. But time is running out, and Marineland needs to hear from us. Your signature could help change the course of their lives.
This is a critical moment for Wikie and Keijo. Every voice counts right now. If we don’t act, they could spend the rest of their lives in captivity. We have the power to demand something better for them. Take a minute to sign the petition and share it with your friends and family. Let’s show Marineland that we won’t stand by while these orcas are sent back into suffering.
