We hope this message finds you safe and healthy. As our team enters the third month of working from home, we wanted to bring you a virtual town hall to update members and supporters on our response to COVID-19's unique threats to civil liberties in the District.

Our staff is working hard to protect civil liberties in an unprecedented crisis. We've won court orders to improve conditions at the DC Jail and St. Elizabeths hospital, and our litigation pressured the Federal Bureau of Prisons to move most of the residents of Hope Village halfway house to home confinement. We continue to monitor policing and watch for threats to vulnerable populations – but what comes next?
