Dear John,

Today we mark Memorial Day, a day dedicated to reflecting on the true price of liberty. We would not be where we are today if it weren't for the brave men and women who gave their lives in service and sacrifice for our country and our freedoms.

I hope you will join me in taking a few minutes today to pray for those who've given their lives in service to our great nation, and for the family and friends they left behind.

Today and every day, let us promise to never take our freedom for granted. Thousands of Delawareans and millions of Americans fought and died for our nation. We can never repay their debt, but we can commit to live out the values they made the ultimate sacrifice to defend.

I wish you a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.
