  • DPD needs to move from 3,000 to 4,000 police officers ASAP.

  • Blacks & Hispanics deserve safety too.

  • Dallas: where criminals thrive and businesses leave.

City Manager Candidate Meet-and-Greet Highlights Failures, Coronation Looms for Tolbert

At the City Manager meet-and-greet, Dallas’ choice for the future couldn’t be clearer: stick with failed policies or demand real change. Interim City Manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert stuck to tired talking points and vague promises—but nothing concrete to prove she’s ready to tackle the challenges we face.

Tolbert leaned on her 32 years in city government, boasting about tax reforms and homelessness programs. But here’s the truth: public safety is in shambles. Dallas Express revealed we’re at just 3,100 officers, far short of the 4,000 voters required by our city charter. Instead of focusing on recruitment where it’s needed, Tolbert’s initiatives are mired in bureaucracy and administrative fluff.

Under her watch, the Dallas Police Department faced a leadership vacuum when Chief Eddie Garcia stepped down without a clear succession plan. At a time when bold action was needed, Tolbert failed to act, leaving the department directionless and residents worried about their safety.

The city manager selection feels like a pre-decided coronation. With Dallas at a pivotal moment, we need leadership with fresh ideas and proven solutions—not more of the Broadnax-era failures. Tolbert’s record shows she’s not the leader to move Dallas forward.

It’s time for a change. Join Keep Dallas Safe in demanding leadership that listens and delivers. Our city’s future depends on it. Follow our social media to stay informed and take action. Together, we can push for the kind of leadership that our community truly deserves.

Dallas Police Halts Arrests for Small Marijuana Possession

Dallas police will no longer arrest or cite individuals for under 4 ounces of marijuana. While some see this as progress, others question whether bypassing state law truly benefits public safety. How will this shift affect Dallas law enforcement moving forward?

Dallas Council Member Questions Big Tex’s Skin Tone

Council Member Carolyn King Arnold called for a “tanned” Big Tex, sparking debate over identity politics. Is this a distraction or a real priority? These debates do nothing to solve the city’s pressing issues. When will leaders focus on real solutions instead of gimmicks?

Dallas Police Shoot Man Waving Replica Gun Near White Rock Lake

A man waving a replica gun near White Rock Lake was shot by Dallas police after refusing to comply. Officers acted decisively to protect the public, but this incident highlights the urgent need for more officers to keep Dallas safe.

Tracking Illegal Camps:

District 6, Councilman Omar Narvaez

"Concrete Hideaway"

Situated below the Mockingbird Lane overpass in Arlington Park, this encampment has turned a busy area of Dallas into an unofficial shelter. Concrete slopes lined with makeshift setups display gross neglect for public safety in District 6. How long will Council Member Narvaez delay meaningful action to address it?

District 2, Councilman Jesse Moreno

"Coombs St. Camp"

Under the overpass on Coombs Street, this camp is a mix of tents, bicycles, and scattered belongings. Pallet-wrapped boxes add to the mess, raising questions about what’s being stored or dumped. This area shows an increasing number of camps reported. Councilman Moreno must stop ignoring the vagrancy crisis in District 2!

District 10, Councilwoman Kathy Stewart

"Exhibit A Camp"

Beneath the Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway Frontage Road in Hamilton Park, tents and trash have taken over a once orderly space. Responsible cities have a central location to deliver services to the homeless. This encampment is "exhibit A" for terrible urban management. What is Council Member Stewart doing to clean this up and restore the area?

Mission Statement:

Keep Dallas Safe exists to address crime and homelessness in Dallas with the goal of transforming Dallas into the safest large city in Texas for residents and businesses. We aim to have a City Council that prioritizes crime rate which directly determines the quality of life in Dallas. We do this by fighting against the "defund the police" movement, holding accountable our city leaders' efforts towards lowering district crime rates, and highlighting our city's homelessness problems by pushing for enforcement of the prohibition of urban camping.
