Dear Friend,

Today we celebrate, remember, mourn, and honor our service members who have sacrificed their lives for our nation.

I hope you’ll take just a moment with me to honor and acknowledge the sacrifice of our brave service members.

And as we reflect on their legacy, I want to thank everyone currently serving in the armed forces, as well as their families and communities.

And though we cannot fully repay our debt to those we honor today, I promise to continue fighting to keep our service members safe and our veterans cared for when they return.

To all who serve and their families—especially those who gave their last full measure of devotion—thank you for your bravery and sacrifice.
