(Port Orchard, WA) - The Glenwood Rd SW Corridor Improvement Project has been delayed due to utility relocation challenges. While the fish passable concrete box culvert was installed last fall, other elements of the project have been on hold until utility work is completed.
Utility companies plan to finish their work by February 7, 2025, allowing the County’s contractor, Rodarte Construction, to resume road construction by February 10, 2025. The contractor will install stormwater conveyance systems and retaining walls, pave the roadway, and then complete the project by adding rumble strips and roadway centerline. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by the end of May 2025.
During this timeframe, drivers can expect continued traffic delays. The road will maintain two-way traffic, with flagger control during work hours.
