We are saddened by the destruction happening in Los Angeles due to wildfires. Since 2020, we've spent time there launching initiatives, hosting fundraisers, and sharing unique experiences with GFAC participants. In response to the devastation, we are hosting a clothing drive for children and youth affected in the LA area.
We want to ensure that young people are cared for and offered hope in such trying times. As a nonprofit youth organization, we can tell you firsthand that clothing makes a difference. When young people look good, they feel better. It builds their confidence and offers the hope they need in times of despair.
Anyone interested in supporting can drop off new or gently used and washed clothes and shoes for children and teens. We are also in need of volunteers to help sort and pack donated clothing, as well as water, snacks, and pizza donations for our volunteers.
Drop-off dates/times:
- Tuesday, January 14, 11am-5:30pm
- Wednesday, January 14, 11am-5:30pm
- Thursday, January 16, 11am-5:30pm
- Friday, January 17, 10:30am-2pm
Donors can also write a note of encouragement to go with their donation. Tax deduction receipts based on value will be available.
