FIRST: Republicans took control of the North Carolina Supreme Court in the 2022 elections.
THEN: The Court removed constitutional guardrails on extreme partisan gerrymandering, brought back a voter ID law, and disenfranchised people with felony convictions.
NOW: The Court’s GOP supermajority is baselessly blocking certification of the state supreme court election where Democratic incumbent Allison Riggs defeated Republican Jefferson Griffin. It violates the sanctity of our elections, and it’s an all-out assault on democracy.
We can’t let anti-democracy extremists get away with attacks like these. At the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, we’ll keep working to elect candidates — including state supreme court justices — who respect and uphold the will of the people.
Can we count on you to donate now to help keep up the fight for fair and free elections in North Carolina and nationwide?
