Today, I have an urgent update: New threats are putting families in the LA area at great risk. Three major fires continue to decimate communities, a new fire recently erupted in Ventura, millions have been under severe fire warnings, and hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced throughout the crisis. The immediate destruction is staggering, but the long-term impacts will be felt for years, impacting mental health, straining health systems, and leaving thousands without a home or community to return to.
Project HOPE is racing around the clock, supporting mobile medical units, distributing hygiene kits and urgently needed items. We’re committed to helping evacuees, including families and children who have lost everything. But we cannot meet the growing needs alone.
