Dear John,
On this Memorial Day, please join me in honoring the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of our nation, our families, and our core principles.
Throughout the generations, American service members have laid down their lives so that we can enjoy the liberties and freedoms we hold so dear as Americans. Words can never convey our gratitude for their sacrifice, and no amount of thanks can begin to repay the debt we owe.
I know this day is difficult for many. I want to recognize our Gold Star families and those who have lost friends and loved ones. They feel the deep reminder of this sacrifice, not just on Memorial Day, but every day. Whether you are gathering with family to share memories or are mourning a fallen hero alone, please know that I am thinking of you.
