Commissioners to consider community outdoor recreation project grantees

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will consider recommended community outdoor projects when it meets Jan. 24 in Lincoln.

Commissioners will consider staff recommendations to approve grants for the Land and Water Conservation Fund Stateside Assistance Program and outdoor trail projects for federal funding through the Recreational Trails Program.

Look for the peregrine falcon symbol on line 56 of your income tax form, where you can donate $1 or more to the Wildlife Conservation Fund, which helps several hundred species in Nebraska that are rare, endangered or threatened.
